Longhorn Cattle

The English Longhorn is the oldest pure breed of cattle in England. Now in the Traditional category of cattle listings it was until quite recently considered a rare breed. The English Longhorn is a large, lean beef animal with large characteristic horns curving impressively around their face.

They breed in a variety of colours, from roan and red through to dark brindle.

The herd at Manor Farm, established in 2000 now has numbers in excess of 100 head. The meat of the Longhorn is becoming increasingly popular with its delicious and unique flavour and can regularly be found on the butchers counter in the shop.
